This work explores how we adapt to difficult circumstances—do we freeze, or do we transform into something new?

In "Portraits of Strangers," I worked with different materials for masks, inherently delicate ones: foam, cotton, eggshells, porcelain, seashells, and peonies. As if created from fragile entrails, masks lose their traditional form of protection but acquire a new one. They combine fragility and strength, highlighting the tension between vulnerability and endurance, both in the materials themselves and in human nature.
